April Record Heat in Central America

PANAMA - Panama Climate Experts forecast higher temperatures for April surpassing average seasonal weather conditions and calls to arrange a suiting wardrobe, regular liquid intake and cautious sun exposure.

The management of the Electricity and Hydro-Meteorology Forecast Company S.A. (ETESA) blames the rising temperatures to direct effect of the sun plus excess humidity.

As example lie the early April record temperatures, 35.6 to 39.8 degrees, reported in David (Chiriqui), Santiago (Veraguas) and Tonosi (Los Santos), above the average 24.7 to 28 degrees.

The phenomenon extends to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and north Venezuela.
