Bryan Ruiz – The
Costa Rican
Messi
Steve McClaren
has picked up a
real diamond in
Costa Rican,
Bryan Ruiz, who
can play on the
wing or up front
as the bright
spark for FC
Twente who are 1
game away from
picking up the
Eredivisie
title.
Ruiz has been
playing on the
right hand side
of a trident
attack including
Chelsea loan
player Miroslav
Stoch and
Switzerland
front man Blaise
Nkuffo, Ruiz as
added pace,
skill and goals.
23 goals this
season in 30
games has been
brilliant return
for €5m. He made
his debut
against Sparta
Rotterdam and
marking his
debut with a
lovely goal
thanks to an
assist from
Stoch.
Ruiz made one of
the quickest
hat-tricks ever,
in the return
game against
Sparta Rotterdam
Ruiz netted a
hat-trick in 4
minutes with
goals on the
46th, 49th and
50th minutes.
This has been
one of signings
of the season
from Steve
McClaren from
Gent in Belgium.
It’s such a
shame that Costa
Rica did not
make it to the
world cup after
getting
eliminated by
Uruguay because
I would love to
see Ruiz grace
the big stage in
South Africa.
But there is
always 2014 in
Brazil.
FC Twente might
have a fight on
their hands to
keep him on the
books for next
season as a few
European clubs
are after him.
This would be
including the
names of
Atletico Madrid,
Villarreal,
Arsenal, Spurs
and Everton. It
also has come
out in the press
that Roy Hodgson
is interested
and a £10m bid
would be
launched on the
player. Watch
this space
because this
could be a
player that
could be on
everyone lips. |
