Obama Congratulates
Chinchilla
US president Barack Obama called Costa
Rica's president elect Laura Chinchilla to
congratulate her on her election last
Sunday.
White House officials confirmed to the EFE
news agency of the call by Obama, who said
to have expressed during his call, the
possibility of working together with
Chinchilla on environmental and security
issues.
The confirmation of the call and the
discussion was made by White House
spokesperson, Robert Gibbs.
