Speeding Claims Couple On Valentines Day Morning

Driving in Costa Rica is most dangerous between 2am and 5am day, but almost to noon on Sundays. One of the main reasons for that is the closure of bars at 2am and many still insist on getting behind the wheel intoxicated.

Another reason is that low volume of traffic on the roads and the Yatzu's who insist on making it their very one race track.

That was the case Sunday morning, Valentines Day, minutes before 9am, when a couple met their fate together when the motorcycle they were riding slammed into a tree in the posh neighbourhood of Rorhmoser.

Witnesses day the motorbike was "flying" through the area, lost control and did not survive the impact with one of the trees along the boulevard.

The accident occurred 100 metres from the new stadium under construction.
