Flagrancias Begins In Limón On March 1

The Poder Judicial says that the Juzgado de Flagrancias (Flagrancy Court) in the province of Limón on March 1st.

Statistics reveal that the "Flagrancias" has been a success in the provinces of Heredia, Cartago, Alajuela and Puntarenas, which deal mainly with cases of assault, carrying illegal weapons and thefts.

The court is a quick trial process court for those individuals that are caught with "masa en las manos" (red handed).

The Poder Judicial reports a good conviction rate in those provinces.

In total, the Juzgado de Flagrancias in those provinces dealt with 460 cases. No numbers were available for the provicen of San José.
