Best Bartenders To
Compete For Championship Title
Bartenders will have their day this week, as
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, nine men and
five women will compete in the Campeonato
Nacional de Baristas, that will be held at
the Cenac.
The bartender competition is limited to
excellent coffee makers that will compete in
the World Bartending Championship that will
be held in London in June.
The competition in Costa Rica is sponsored
by ICafé, the Costa Rican coffee institute.
Mario Arroyo, director of promotions for
Icafé, said it is important to note the
increased number of women in this year's
competition. "Normally we have only one or
two women competing, this year we have
five", said Arroyo.
The competition will conclude on Saturday
beginning at 1pm. |
