5.5 Quake In Guanacaste

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake was felt last night in Guanacaste according to the Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (Ovsicori).

The earthquake hit at 9:14pm and located in the Pacific ocean some 76 kilometres west of the Peninsula de Santa Elena on the Guanacaste coast.

The quake had a depth of 45 kilometres and caused by a clash between tectonic plates.
