Chip Thinks Twice About Camping Beside Rivers in Costa Rica

I was only 15kms away from the border town of Neily, and my goal was to get a map in the city and get out before dark as I only had an hour before sunset. Once arriving in this city, however, I saw many people drunk on the streets. Some tried to get me to come over for some odd reason, but I just ignored their shouts of "Hey, Gringo, give me a buck!" or "How about a smoke, Gringo?"
