New State Backs
Equality in Bolivia
LA PAZ - Bolivian President Evo Morales,
said on Thursday the new Multicountry state
guarantees equality for all people, without
distinction in order to prevent large
differences legacy of imperialism.
"We had to wait 180 years to recreate a new
country, thatâ�Ös why we warranty a
plurinational state where everyone including
natives have the same rights" declare the
head of state in the archeological complex
of Tiahuanaco.
At that site with about 50.000 people the
amuats (sages Aimaras) proclaimed Morales as
Bolivian people spiritual guidance and they
had him over possession in ceremony ritual
of a second term.
"Here we are again to serve Bolivia and
contribute to save mankind and the world",
said the leader who addressed the nation in
Quechua, Aymara and Spanish.
He brought out people have a huge
responsibility in the struggle to prevent
threats and attacks that come from
capitalism.
Morales emphasized the ritual act of
Tiahuanaco for his second possesion
signifies the destruction of the old
colonial state and the implementation of a
new country, more inclusive and
multi-national.
"We witnessed the death of a discriminatory
and colonial state that stole our national
resources and that used to see the native
organizations as tribes, as animals", the
leader said.
He noted in that thousand-year-old place is
born today a hope for Bolivia and the rest
of the world, and for the people who never
forgot his ancestors.
Morales thanked his ancestors from whom he
learned how to live in harmony with the
Pachamama (Mother Earth).
He thanked the Pachamama for giving him
strength, humility and wisdom to build a new
Bolivia and allow him a second term, thereby
ensuring the consolidation of changes
initiated in 2006 when he assumed the
