Costa Rica at Fruit
Logistica 2010
Costa Rica will participate for the second
consecutive year at the Fair Fruit Logistica
with a delegation of five producing and
exporting companies who will be exhibiting
in a pavilion sponsored by Promotora de
Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica, agency
promoting Costa Rican exports and
investment.
In Hall 25, Stand A-05 at Fruit Logistica,
you can find a variety of fresh produces
such as papaya, pineapple conventional and
organic, roots and tubers, squash and
bananas.
Among the exhibiting companies are:
B & C Valley Exportadora del Valle: is a
family business founded 17 years ago as a
major supplier of squash and root crops for
international markets such as the USA,
Canada, France, Spain, Italy, England and
Portugal.
EICSA: The leading national company in the
export of hybrid Pococí papaya, a 100% Costa
Rican variety, developed by national
scientists, this papaya is called the
"Perfect" for its color, shape and sweetness
which can reach 17 brix . The company also
exports organic pineapples.
COONAPROSAL: A Costa Rican company based on
solid principles of cooperation, dedicated
to the production and marketing of fresh and
frozen mango varieties under the system and
IQF. In recent years they have diversified
into products such as pineapple, papaya, and
frozen fruit pulps.
Swiss Tropical Fruit Marketing: Swiss owned
company dedicated to the international fruit
market, its main focus is the export and
sale of bananas and pineapples with
excellent quality, from Costa Rica, for
customers in Europe and America. Its main
export markets are Germany, France, Austria,
Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Serbia, Poland
and Switzerland.
ASOPROAGROIN: Is an organization of small
pineapple producers founded in 1996 that
seeks the economic development of all its
partners, to improve social responsibility
and respect for the environment.
ASOPROAGROIN, was certified "Fair Trade" in
2002. It also promotes the export of other
products such as sweet potatoes, roots and
tubers and agro-industrial products such as
dried pineapple.
