Cuba to Address PARLATINO in
Guatemala
GUATEMALA - Doctor Jorge González, head of
the Cuban Parliament Health and Sports
Commission, addressed today the Latin
American Parliament Health Commission
ordinary session.
The speech by the also Rector of Havana's
Medical Sciences Institute to legislators
from 19 countries versed on disaster effect
mitigation.
From his Wednesday arrival Dr. Gonzalez has
held talks with Congress Chairman Roberto
Alejos, vice presidents and other executives
on the work of the respective legislative
solidarity groups.
With Jorge Méndez, head of the Congressional
Sports Commission, he addressed Cuban help
to advance Guatemalan sports and help
explore for new ways to develop the local
potentials.
Doctor González also gave in San Carlos
University Medical School the conference
"Science and Conscience in Medical Social
Work."
In live interview for Radio TGW, the Cuban
physician exposed the principles of Cuba's
Revolutionary medical services that tresses
on prevention over cure, and its aid to
