Bomb Threat Of Legislative Building Over Legislators Salary Hike

Although authorities of the Asemblea Legislativa (Legislative Assembly) tried to cover up, it was impossible to hide it for long the reports of a bomb placed within the Asemblea building.

The existence of a bomb was made known by an anonymous call to the 911 emergency line.

Magally Camacho, head of the security at the Asemblea, insisted that the police presence that included the K-9 unit trained in sniffing out bombs, was a routine security drill.

However, sources close to the situation confirmed the threat of a bomb.

The dogs and specialized police units checked out the entire building and gave the green light to no bomb after 3pm. The dogs sniffed out purses, bags, under desks, chairs, walls and every square inch ofthe building and found nothing.

The threat came a day after legislators voted themselves the controversial pay hike.
