Heavy Rains In Colombia Kill
18, Leave 84,200 Victims
BOGOTA - The heavy rains in Colombia have
killed at least 18 people and left some
84,200 victims in 134 municipalities, the
Colombian National Emergency System said on
Tuesday.
The heavy rains in the country have made
hundreds of flooding, landslides and storms.
The national network of emergency also
reported that 87 were injured and five
missing, as well as more than 15,000 house
were damaged.
The most affected department was Caqueta in
the south of the country, where 12,000 fell
to victims of the flooding on the weekend,
followed by Tolima, Antioquia, Valle and
Choco.
During this month more heavy rains will be
expected in the central and south of the
country, accompanied by thunder storms. |
