Pacheco And
Arias
Administration
Score The Same
Grade
The
administrations
of Abel Pacheco
(2002-2006) and
Oscar Arias'
second term
(2006-2010)
received the
same grade marks
by Costa Ricans
involved in a
survey by the
Universidad de
Costa Rica (UCR).
The results have
Pacheco and
Arias in a tie,
both receiving a
40 points of
100.
The survey was
carried out by
the Escuela de
Estadística of
the UCR
interviewing 601
people.
Johnny Madrigal,
heading the
survey, said
although
people's
confidence was
higher at the
end of Arias'
administration,
Pacheco earned
good marks in
other areas like
economics.
The UCR has
carried out
18.613
interviews
between 2002 and
2010 focusing
mainly on
mainstream
society. During
the Pacheco
administration,
the UCR carried
out 7.456
interviews and
11.157 for the
Arias period.
If this were a
soccer game, the
tie would be
broken by
penalty shots.
However, neither
Pacheco, nor
Arias, have
indicated any
aspiration for
another term. |
