Spectacular Monster Truck
Show In Panama
PANAMA - Car acrobatic show, "Monster Jam",
staged at Rod Carew Stadium in Panama City
on Saturday night with about 10,000
spectators present.
The show consisted of two scheduled races,
the first one with jumps, and the second in
freestyle.
One of the most dramatic moments came in the
second part of the show. A truck, called
"Donkey Kong", was speeding up and trying to
leap over a slope. But when it jumped in the
air,the vehicle suddenly lost its stability
and crashed up side down on the field.
Fortunately, the driver was not injured.
The winner in the first race was Grave
Digger's vehicle, while in the other race
was noted Spiderman.
The Monster Jam was held for the second
consecutive year in Panama, as part of a
show that will also take place Sunday at the
same stage.
In total, eight monster trucks performed in
the show. Some of them have made history in
this type show last year, like Maximun
Destruction, Madusa and El Toro Loco.
Monster Mutt, Spider-Man and Donkey Kong
came to Panama for the first time.
The four-ton trucks have 168-centimeters
tires and 1,500-horsepower engines. The team
of monster trucks compete in races and
freestyle competitions in more than 300
events every year around the world. |
