Desamparados - Aserrí Bridge Re-Opened

The bridge that connects Desamparados and Aserrí was re-opened this morning after the Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT) completing the bridge repairs in record time.

The bridge was closed off completely to vehicular traffic several weeks back when MOPT engineers confirmed that the bridge support was damaged due to currents and warranted a complete closure.

The work was completed one week ahead of schedule, a precedent for the MOPT that typically delivers work with delay after delay.
