Turrialba Alert Continues

Costa Rica's Comision Nacional de Emergencias (CNE) - national emergency commission - says they have moved some residents away from the Turrialba volcano, located west of the capital, after it spewed toxic gas and ash, signs of a potentially imminent eruption.

The Turrialba volcano is located about 65 kilometres from San Josť began a series of eruptions in 2007.

The CNE has elevated the alert to "amarillo" (yellow), the middle three warning levels.
