Reforms To The Ley De Tránsito Stalled. Again.
The expected approval of the reforms to the Ley de Tránsito that would do away with the point system and lower fines, among other things, did not occur on Thursday, in fact it will now be up to the next legislative assembly to deal with it.

Former conjoined twins, Yurelia and Fiorella Rocha, are being treated for the AH1N1 flu virus even though it is not certain the girls are infected. Rodolfo Hernández, director of the Hospital Nacional de Niños (Chidlren's hospital) explained the measure is strictly preventative.



COSEVI To Take Legal Action Against Unpaid Traffic Tickets
Although it still unclear if and when the lower traffic fines will apply and if they will be grandfathered in, the Consejo de Seguridad Vial (COSEVI) has decided it will not wait out the process to start applying legal and late fees to outstanding fines.



Miss Costa Rica 2010 Competition Tonight
The Miss Costa Rica 2010 beauty pageant will be held on April 16 where the reigning Miss Costa Rica 2009, Jessica Umaña will pass on her crown to her successor. The winner of the contest will represent Costa Rica in Miss Universe 2010 competition.
