August 17th, 2015 (ICR News) A US Airways flight with 127 passengers on board reported electrical problems Friday afternoon before landing at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO).
A significant emergency response was triggered, with firefighters and emergency and relief personnel from San Jose, Pavas, Heredia and Alajuela all responding to the scene.
The aircraft, an Airbus A319 with tail number N711UW was able to make a successful landing with no injuries reported.
The nature and cause of the electrical problems aboard the aircraft were not immediately known.
The aircraft had been scheduled to arrive at SJO at 4:10 p.m.
