ICR NEWS BRIEF

September 21st, 2015 (ICR News) A man was arrested while trying to sell four living, protected sea turtles from the trunk of his car outside a supermarket in Liverpol, Limon Sunday afternoon.

 

The suspect, identified by the last name Barrera, was taken into police custody.  The sea turtles were returned by police officials to their natural habitat after being check for any injuries.

    Following a public flogging, this guy should be assigned to a lengthy stint of cleaning debris off the beaches, or perhaps better, service at an animal rescue center….perhaps some appreciation of protected species would sink in!
