Three airport workers struck by lightning at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria airport

October 1st, 2015 (ICR News) Three aircraft maintenance workers at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) were in serious condition after being struck by lightning Wednesday.

 

The workers reportedly received first and second degree burns after being struck by lightning shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.  The strike reportedly sent the men flying several meters.  All three workers were taken to the Hospital San Rafael de Alajuela in serious condition.

 

On Setember 19th, three US tourists were struck by lightning while visiting the Poas Volcano.
