The
yo-yo dollar/colon exchange rate
continues with a drop of ¢6
colones yesterday with dollar
hitting a low of ¢546.50 colones
for the buy per each us dollar,
the lowest in the last 13
months.
AH1N1 Vaccination
Starts Monday
The199.300 doses of the AH1N1 vaccine that
was delayed for two months in arriving to
Costa Rica finally made it last night and
will begin distribution on Monday to
patients identified as being in the high
risk group, that includes pregnant women and
health care professionals.

China On Proposed Name The New
Stadium: "Dalai Lama"
The
government of China responded
negatively to a suggestion by
the presidential candidate for
the Partido Acción Cuidana
(PAC), Ottón Solís, to name the
new stadium being built by the
Chinese and donated to Costa
Rica, the "Dalai Lama". The
Solís comment was reject by the
Arias government, the Foreign
ministry saying "it is not in
line with the common desires of
the two countries".

Alcatel-Lucent (ALUA.PA) said on Thursday it
would pay us$10 million to settle a
corruption case in Costa Rica.

this city, however, I saw many people drunk
